The Armed Forces Medical Services has issued the official advertisement for admission to the four-year B.Sc Nursing Course 2026 at six AFMS Colleges of Nursing. Only eligible female candidates who have qualified NEET (UG) 2026 may apply through joinindianarmy.nic.in after declaration of the NEET UG 2026 result. Candidates must be unmarried, divorced, legally separated or widowed without encumbrances, be citizens of India, and have been born between 01 October 2001 and 30 September 2009, both dates inclusive. The candidate must have passed the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or equivalent in the first attempt with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) and English, securing at least 50 percent aggregate marks from a recognised board, university or examining body. Shortlisting will be based on NEET UG 2026 scores. Shortlisted candidates must report to Base Hospital, Delhi Cantt for document verification, the Computer Based Test of General Intelligence and General English (ToGIGE), Psychological Assessment, Selection Board Interview and Special Medical Board. ToGIGE consists of 40 MCQs carrying two marks each, for a maximum of 80 marks, to be completed in 30 minutes, with a negative marking of 0.5 mark for each incorrect answer. Final selection is based on combined merit of NEET UG 2026 score, ToGIGE score, Psychological Assessment and Interview, subject to medical fitness. Colleges are allotted by merit-cum-choice and seat availability. The six institutions and advertised seats are: College of Nursing AFMC Pune - 40; College of Nursing Command Hospital Eastern Command Kolkata - 30; College of Nursing INHS Asvini Mumbai - 40; College of Nursing Army Hospital Research and Referral New Delhi - 30; College of Nursing Command Hospital Central Command Lucknow - 40; and College of Nursing Command Hospital Air Force Bangalore - 40. Candidates offered admission must execute an agreement or bond to serve as an officer in the Military Nursing Service.
